Today’s Classical Design 2017
The cover of the Veranda January-February 2017 issue has a very creative space designed by Alex Papachristidis for the recent Kips Bay Decorator Show House. His personal aesthetic is classical and a perfect example of a fresh combination of classical elements and the decorative arts. When working with a client he starts with the architecture and feels the walls are “enormously” important. The Kips Bay Design certainly is all about the walls. The handpainted wallpaper is fabulous. In an interview with Tanya Rivero, he points out that even though hand painted wallpaper is expensive; it is all you need.
