Jennifer Lopez and Classical Beauties in Veranda
The February issue of Veranda features three beautiful Classical interiors. The Jennifer Lopez home designed by Michelle Workman has art deco elements against a Classical backdrop. When you have a Classically designed space whatever furnishings and color palette you use is greatly enhanced by the beauty of the architectural details. Design is so much in the eye of the beholder with attention to the taste of the individual, but the classical elements provide a universal appeal. Panels on the walls add symmetry and balance for the pictures. The coffered ceiling provides volume and both classical architectural elements compliment the clean lines of the furnishings. The bedroom fireplace distinguishes itself with a beautiful urn ornament and an overmantle that is perfect for any work of art or mirror. The beauty is in the architecture. Just that picture by itself without the overmantle would not be nearly as elegant.
Another Classical fireplace. The subtle Cole & Son Wallpaper I feel acts like a classic damask in its monochromatic scheme.Nothing modern about these kitchen cabinets. Love the colors the designer chose throughout.Beautiful cabinet doors!
