New Classicism Cont’d.
In 1989, the systematic teaching of classical design was reintroduced in the architecture program at the University of Notre Dame. The program is a modern curriculum that represents an inclusive viewpoint preparing students for contemporary practice. The Institute of Classical Architecture offers courses and thematically focused study tours. The Institute publishes a journal, The Classicist, which includes peer-reviewed scholarly papers, examples of student work, recently constructed buildings and urban designs.
