Shangri-La Hotel, New Paris Luxury Hotel
Built in 1896 as the home of Prince Roland Bonaparte, Napoleon Bonaparte’s grandnephew, Shangri-La Hotel is situated in the elegant 16th arrondissement of paris, adjacent to the Trocadero. It is located in one of the highest concentrations of museums in Europe, with views of the Eiffel Tower and Seine River.
It was restored by Richard Martinet with the interiors by designer Pierre-Yves Rochon. The public spaces are magnificent, but the guest rooms pale by comparison. A great location with so much to see and do I wouldn’t spend much time in my room anyway.
