Veranda – Neoclassical Design for the 21st Century
I love the Mary Douglas Drysdale “look”. Many of her interiors have classical architectural features which she fills with a combination of antiques and transitional upholstery. She is so skilled at marrying the beauty of the past with the best of today’s fabrics and surfaces. Always love her color palette, light, airy and sophisticated.
The only thing I would change is the artwork. Because I am an artist, I am not a fan of geometrics, stripes, and simply colored canvases.
The painted hardwood floor is terrific. If you want to consider this for yourself check out the adhesive backed stencils from Modello Designs. It is a great look instead of carpeting and easy to maintain.
