The Classical Bath
According to a recent survey of Professional Builder readers, next to the kitchen the bathroom is very important to homeowners. The single biggest feature when it comes to selling bathroom upgrades is plumbing fixtures, dual vanities, separate tubs and showers, flooring, air-jet bathtubs and storage. I would like to add beautiful.
No air jets here, but I love the front on this tub.
What a great way to make the shower fixtures look terrific.
There are lots of claw foot tubs and free standing tubs being used today. Love the mosaic floor and wall behind this claw foot tub.
Today’s claw foot tub and mosaic wall treatment.
Can’t tell too much about the bathroom other than the tub is a beautiful faux porphyry. This dressing room and bath was designed by antiques dealer and decorator Anthony Ingrao. Love the molding around the door.
I prefer vanities to exposed plumbing.
This is a Kohler ad and the well placed flowers camouflage any plumbing that would detract from the beauty of this basin.
A handsome vanity.
This powder room ceiling is amazing.
Wonderful columns defining the tub area.
This is Nureyev’s Paris apartment bath.
An ad for the chemise but with an amazing vanity. Plan to create this look in my master bath using Modellos and Mirror patina solution.
Another look at the door.
Villa Kerylos thermal bath.
