Just received the Neiman Marcus dream book for Christmas. The Dream Folly this year is a simulation of a tent with the interior designed as a “genie’s posh bottle”.
I would love to have an amazing tent in my backyard. This Dream Folly starts at $75,000. My dream file for a backyard tent has some that appeal more to me than this one. However, mine do not have a plexiglass door and dome. I thought it would be fun to showcase my dream folly. This blog is like a vision board where I can post my wish lists.
The ultimate pavilion is from Far Pavilion Tents. It is at the top of my list for a spacious outdoor space.
This style ‘Bedi’ is also from Far Pavilions. The only problem is they are located in the UK. I am dreaming so here are a few more from Far Pavilions. Each with its own unique appeal.
I saw this tent in Veranda by Authentic Provence and they are located in West Palm Beach.
Here is a much grander folly since I would have to have the house as well. Love it!
Now for the interior. The pillows in the Neiman Marcus folly are by designer Rebecca Vizard. She uses antique textiles to create her one-of-a-kind masterpieces and they range in price from $300 to $3,500.
Pillows are a great accent but I also love to use them whether I am propping up my arm or filling in a space to increase my comfort. These pillows are so expensive I wouldn’t actually use them. So for those of us who want the look plus the comfort here are some very affordable tapestry pillows from European Wall Tapestries.
Love these multi-colored quilted silk pillow slipcovers from Pottery Barn. I think the cream, nutmeg and blue will look great with the tapestries.
Either of these carpets will be perfect with my colors. One is a Persian Soumak and the other a French Aubusson, both from Momeni.
My must have table is from Wunderley.
Lighting from Fine Art Lamps.
And seating from Restoration Hardware.
