The Classic and Sustainable Bloom Chair
Sustainable is a word which I feel can be used to describe classical design to the extent that it endures as a timeless expression of beauty. A classically designed interior provides a rich backdrop which can embrace the best of all periods. For those who appreciate touches of contemporary art or furnishings here is one of my favorites, the Bloom chair.
World renowned furniture designer Kenneth Cobonpue from Cebu, Philippines is known for mixing comfort, style and organic materials. The Bloom chair has deep soft folds of felt which are stitched into a bowl-shaped resin seat. It measures 31.5″W x 27.5″D x 31.5″H and comes in Moss Green, Black, Lime Green and Muted Red. It is available from Eco First Art and KennethCobonpue.
This bed was purchased by Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie.
Not my favorite, however I do love this version for a baby.
The designer always uses local, organic materials for his indoor furniture such as rattan, abaca and bamboo.
