Classical Wall Treatment Ideas
A great space with stile and rail panels and decorative molding and a hand-hewn timber beamed ceiling. Love the black with the light glaze which really makes the molding detail stand out. Richard Hallberg, Designer and William Hablinski, Architect.
The eglomise mirrors configured into panels above and below a chair rail is very interesting. A variation on this would be to add some ornament to the white frames.
As seen in Elle Decor.
First time I have seen ‘corner ornamentation’.
This is one of my favorite looks, a mirrored panel. Not sure about the mirror on top of the mirror in this case. The decorative grille looks great even though it is not from Beaux-Artes.
In this room I like the idea of ornamenting the wainscoting. Usually you see just carpenter boxes.
The stenciled wainscoting is another handsome look for today’s classical interiors. It can be done with venetian plaster to acheive an inlaid stone look.
One of my favorite wainscoting designs from Nureyev’s Paris apartment.
Another idea for the wainscoting.
