Fashion and Classical Wall Panels
The Neiman Marcus Christmas Book showcased their fashions using some fabulous Classical backdrops.
One of my favorite clients emailed these pictures (which I had already seen) as she is planning on doing her dining room with high relief ornamentation on mirrors. The only resource I have found for this size ornamentation is J.P. Weaver. A trip to their website is such a treat. The ornamentation and finishing is outstanding. We have done a custom design for her panels, carefully selecting the subject matter of the ornamentation for her discerning taste. I looked through their catalogues for the Neiman Marcus panels. Here are some Weaver selections to duplicate the look. If you can afford to purchase something from the Neiman Marcus Christmas Book you can afford ornamentation from J.P. Weaver. It is an investment in beauty that is timeless.
Rather than the swag on the bottom of the panel I like it on the top. Wonder what the top of the Neiman panels have?
In closing, I have seen so many fashion magazines and contemporary furniture manufacturers use classical backdrops to advertise their products because they make anything in them look great. Here are a few I have saved.
Decorators Supply has the ornament on the wainscoting in this ad. Add the faux finish and you have an amazing look. Looks like silk damask above the wainscoting. Zoffany and Graham and Brown have oversized damask wallcovering. This one from Graham and Brown looks very much like the one pictured.
Love the white with gold.
Classical bedrooms are great to showcase linens. We used this picture as an inspiration for this paneled home office.
