Classical Interiors with Marsala 2015 Color of the Year
Pantone has selected Marsala the Color of the Year 2015.
Much like the wine that gives Marsala its name, this tasteful hue with its rich red-brown roots emanates a sophisticated feel. It is hearty, yet universally appealing and translates easily to fashion, beauty, industrial design, home furnishings and interiors. Love the fireplace.
Because of the broad appeal of this rich color palette Beaux-Artes has added Marsala to our product finishes.
Ethan Allen’s new furniture collection features Marsala along with French Grey, Powder Pink and Sky Blue. All great with the richness of Marsala. Check out my blog Heavenly Home Designs which has lots of great pictures of rooms in this color palette along with other trends toward natural elements, which I focus on petrified wood, and the use of metallics particularly brass and copper. I love this color palette for classical interiors. Marsala is a rich deep red and looks great for the entire room or just as an accent color.
Love this lincrusta wallpaper. Would also look great in Benjamin Moore Maple Leaf and an aging glaze.
